Lucius Earl Savage is a relentless serial killer. Known as the Toolbox Killer, he uses a variety of tools to torture and slaughter his victims. His nationwide killing spree has included some of the most atrocious, malevolent acts known to man. But pure evil doesn’t blossom overnight. From his egregious childhood, to his pernicious, twisted adulthood, witness the evolution of a psychopath, and the bloody carnage that ensues. Ash Calibre is a recovering drug addict with a shady past. He’s also a trigger happy Private Investigator who believes he’s above the law. When someone close to him becomes the Toolbox Killer’s latest victim, Calibre must race against the police on a hell bent quest for vengeance and closure to the biggest case of his career. Along the way, his efforts may be aided or hindered by a shattered soldier E. Cortada. A wounded war veteran and ex-mercenary who is searching for redemption, Cortada also happens to be the target of a vicious drug lord and his sadistic gang. Three intricate individuals. Three different perspectives. One cohesive, over the top, dark, brutal story.
No Tomorrow E Faison Books
Well let me start off by stating that this book is not for the faint of heart. It is also not for kids, or those who are easily offended (it's not very politically correct). This is a very gritty, detective story that almost borderlines on being an erotic thriller. There is a substantial amount of sex and violence on the surface, but there is a deep story in there that ties it all together. The fact that each character has their own story line is almost like reading a small collection of short stories. But they are all linked so they come together quite well and really feed off of each other. Another reviewer commented on the comic relief, which there is plenty of. It's almost a book that you don't want to read in public, because either you're laughing out loud, or you're feeling ashamed for reading what's taking place on the pages. A guilty pleasure best descibes it. Anyway, the story itself pulls no punches, and is quite grim. But I had a great time reading it, and am about to do a second read through.Product details

No Tomorrow E Faison Books Reviews
This is one of those books that has every element of story telling, and does them very well. There were parts in the story where I cringed at what was happening, parts where I was kind of aroused, and parts where I was literally laughing out loud. But I could not stop reading this book. I did read it in one setting (about 4.5 hours) because the story was so compelling. The pacing is excellent, I never got bored. The action and suspense were blended with lots of comedy, so it didn't get too intense. Basically it's three stories in one. Three protagonists with separate storylines. They're all connected, and they intertwine at some point, but I think they could also have been good stand alone stories. The serial killer is absolutely tragic, because we get to read about his childhood, and the events that led him down such an evil path. The Private detective who's done some pretty heinous things himself is personally vested in hunting the killer. The war vet who's killed civilians and now self medicates with drugs and booze, can't seem to break the grasp of drug dealers, and is tossed into several shootouts and eventually into the path of the other characters. And there are some surprises as well. The stories come together very well, and the novel does have the classic "Noir" elements throughout.
